Another thing I LOVE about #Mastodon is how searches for phrases in posts were deliberately excluded, and not just to stop harassment – it also stops bot spam.

Back on the #BirdSite, especially in its #IndieMusic and #Art corners, you'd get comments and DMs from bot accounts if you included phrases like "I need new music", "NFT", "Crypto" because they search by keywords, but over here you only search by hashtags you include in your toots or very specific toot URLs which I love! #gratitude #noxp

Am I going too overboard on my #AltText descriptions?

Ever since I've joined Mastodon I've been camel-casing hashtags and adding alt text to all media uploads (even back at that other place; yes I still have an account there), and my inner perfectionist, while I try to be succinct, likes to be as comprehensive as possible and describe every detail of the media.

I also worry that too long of alt text might bore some people; any #FediTips would be greatly appreciated! #Accessibility #Accessible
