I just finished the cover art for my final release in 2022!

It’s #6 in my “202X Series” of tracks soundtracking each year in the 2020s, two extratone tracks at a time. Extratone is an extreme electro genre said to be “the world’s fastest music genre”, with music at a minimum of 1000 BPM.

The cover art of MOULE’s upcoming extratone track. It is a black and light blue cartoon collage depicting several events in the second half of 2022. Starting from the bottom, there is more fire and an explosion on a bridge over water. On both are tanks and soldiers pointing weapons at each other. Behind them there are protests and arguments with signs reading “PEACE!”, “自由” (Chinese for “freedom”), “JUSTICE”, and “HUMAN RIGHTS”, as well as swear words censored with grawlix. There is a man in a business suit panicking about Earth’s 1.5°C warming as a fire happens in the background. At the centre is a giant upside-down crown pointing towards two swans’ reflections in water, symbolising Queen Elizabeth II’s death and rejoining her partner Prince Phillip. To the right there can be seen overflowing shopping carts and a rise in fuel and food prices as some try stealing them. At the top overlooking it all is a giant, menacing black swan with symbols of AI and computing in its wings.

can strike at the oddest of times…what was the weirdest time and place that inspiration for a piece of / / / etc that you made struck for you? 🤔

I’ve found when my brain is in the “flow” state when I do repetitive tasks like cycling or cleaning, my brain also enters a state and comes up with melodies and ideas I mostly forget to write down and don’t have the time yet to do! 😂

Tonight I started creating my upcoming release’s cover , which will deviate from my usual happy vibes and instead be a real tearjerker! 😭

Here’s the background I made for it, from a photo inside a B-series , cartoonified with vector shapes using the Assembly iPadOS app!

Strattzr’s #15 (2nd best), GLHF’s poker-faced strategist. He’ll kick your ass in chess! 😳♟️

PWNZR’s #24 (3rd best) and is a VERY ANGRY gamer who loves combat games. If you value your ears, don’t make him mad or he’ll become a swearing frenzy! 🤬
